Lindenwood University's student Involvement Office and Maryville University have entered into a new partnership to co-host the Summit on Leadership Development (SOLD). This full-day conference, entering its 16th year, will be held on Saturday, Feb. 8, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the Maryville Campus; Lindenwood students may attend, free of charge.
The Long Road to Lindenwood: World Travels Lead to University Presidency for John R. Porter
John R. Porter’s life, education, and career have taken him from Chicago, Ill., to Pittsburgh/Altoona, Penn.; Atlanta, Ga.; Springfield, Mo.; South Africa; and Dubai. In July, he added St. Charles, Mo., to that trajectory as he assumed the role of Lindenwood University’s 23rd president.

In front of a large crowd, Lindenwood University’s new Center for Diversity & Inclusion (CDI) officially opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 21, at Evans Commons Room 3110 on the St. Charles, Mo., campus.

Pierre Desir Featured on KSDK, Post-Dispatch for Philanthropy
Lindenwood University alumnus and current Indianapolis Colt Pierre Desir was recognized by Post-Dispatch sports columnist Ben Frederickson, as well as featured on KSDK for his charitable activities. Desir is up for the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award, which recognizes NFL players for "excellence on and off the field."
Online Programs Ranked by U.S. News & World Report
Lindenwood University’s online programs in several categories have been ranked among the nation’s best by U.S. News & World Report for 2020. The university’s online bachelor’s, MBA, non-MBA graduate business programs, and master’s in education were all ranked, with all four placing fourth or better among institutions in Missouri.
Orrie Covert Named Vice President for Advancement and Communications
Lindenwood University has named Orrie Covert vice president for advancement and communications. A veteran fundraiser in higher education, Covert will be based at Lindenwood’s St. Charles campus, starting Jan. 20.
Heuermann Named Lindenwood Alumni Director
Rachael Heuermann has been named Lindenwood University’s new director of alumni relations. Previously a member of the university’s Student Involvement staff, she moves to the Lindenwood Advancement and Communications staff in her new role.
