Spanish Internship Program Brings Community and Students Together

When renovating the Spanish program last year, the foreign language professors at Lindenwood University wanted to shape the degree in a way that would lead their students to future success. They wanted their students’ language skills to continue to serve them outside the classroom, and they hoped that students would feel capable and confident in their Spanish abilities when they moved beyond Lindenwood’s halls.

Next semester, Lindenwood University will be offering a diverse selection of courses for the students in its International Relations program, and to helm several of those courses is none other than Professor Dale Walton.

LindenTeach Seeks Student-Teacher Candidates

The LindenTeach internship program provides Lindenwood University students, pursuing a career in teaching, with the opportunity to gain real experience in local school districts. The program operates to help fill the need for qualified, professional substitute teachers. Students are prepared for their student teaching experience and receive mentorship and coaching from faculty in the School of Education. LindenTeach is currently accepting student candidates through Nov. 1.

Hollis C. Heyn Receives Alumni Service Award

The Alumni Service Award recognizes Lindenwood University alumni who have demonstrated outstanding service and leadership to Lindenwood University – whether it be through volunteerism, philanthropy, recruiting, or any other means. Recipients have given significant time, talent, and effort to support the mission of Lindenwood University.

Alpha Chi Wins National Championship

Last spring, the members of Lindenwood University’s chapter of the Alpha Chi National Honor Society were named national champions, winning the President’s Cup, the most prestigious award offered by the organization.

Lindenwood Helps Bring the Band Back Together

In a move that benefits both its own students and the greater St. Louis community, Lindenwood University recently donated a large portion of its band equipment to Madison High School in Madison, Illinois.
